When a court needs to communicate to the DOL that a conviction that has been paid in full needs to be removed, DOL requires proof that the payment has been refunded to the Payor.
Adding a comment to the Paid in Full (PIF) or Paid in Full- Auto (PIFA) Event Code will meet this request, as the information will be reflected in JABS on the docket tab.
If a disposition is being amended under the following circumstances:
- A payment was made,
- A subsequent hearing was requested,
- The hearing resulted in a dismissal, and
- The payment was refunded to the payor,
then add the comment “Payment refunded to payor” to the Paid in Full (PIF) or Paid in Full- Auto (PIFA) Event Code.
