When does a court report a disposition of Chapters 66.44, 69.41, 69.50, 69.52 RCW and  RCW 9.41.040 when the offender was under 18 or 21 years of age at violation date?

2016 Legislation ESHB 2906 changes what all court levels report to the Department of Licensing (DOL) for revocation of driving privileges for defendants under 18 (U18) or 21 (U21) years old at the time of the violation. It is important courts determine when dispositions of offenses under Chapters 66.44, 69.4169.50, 69.52 RCW and RCW 9.41.040 should be sent to DOL within 24 hours. To assist the courts, the Judgment and Sentence pattern forms have been updated to include a section to identify "clerk's action required" to send an Abstract of Court Record (ACR) to DOL through the Forms Access. However, for courts adjudicating infractions under these chapters, additional steps should be taken in advance by judicial officers to make sure these dispositions are sent correctly. In addition, District and Municipal Courts need to be aware that any electronically filed tickets with these violations will not transmit dispositions electronically to DOL. An ACR will need to be completed and manually sent. The following charts, as well as the flowcharts attached at the bottom of this answer, may assist the courts is making these determinations:
