How do I roll back my Internet Explorer to the previous version?  What do I do if the current IE version was automatically updated on my PC and my applications no longer work correctly?

Some court PCs have automatically updated the web browser to Internet Explorer (IE) version 10 or 11 and are experiencing errors in the Electronic Ticket Processing (ETP) program, JABS, etc. Other applications could also be affected by an automatic upgrade that is delivered by Microsoft, Inc.

If you are not sure which version of IE is installed on your PC, perform these steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. If you do not see the Menu Bar at the top of Internet Explorer, press the Left Alt key on your keyboard. The Menu Bar should appear.
3. If you see the Menu Bar at the top of Internet Explorer click HELP.
4. Select "About Internet Explorer."
5. You should see "Windows Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, or 11."

If a new version of IE is installed on your PC and you are experiencing incompatibility issues with an application, please apply the fix below

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Select Tools from the Menu Bar. If you do not see the Menu Bar press the left ALT key. This will bring the menu up so that you may select Tools.

3. Select Compatibility View Settings.

4. Type wa.gov in the "Add this website" field.

5. Click "Add."

6. Make sure that "Display Intranet sites in Compatibility View" is checked.

7. Click "Close."

If this procedure does not fix the problem, complete the "Rollback" procedure in the attachment to this answer.

Note:

  • JCS only works with Internet Explorer version 9, 10 or 11 and works best without compatibility mode turned on, follow the above steps to remove it.
