What information in the SCOMIS document indexing module can be updated or changed?
The SCOMIS Manual explains the UPDATE option. It allows modification to the following fields for a document within a record:
Document Filing Date
Court Case Number
The following fields cannot be changed using UPDATE:
Record Filing Date
Law Enforcement Agency
Local Reference number
Only court staff with administrative authority can update the modifiable fields, perform special record updates, and expunge documents on the ADMINISTRATION Record Update screen.
If ADMINISTRATION does not appear on the user's Main Menu screen, then the user does not have administrative authority to make any changes.
If ADMINISTRATION does appear on the user's Main Menu screen, tab to the menu selection ADMINISTRATION, and press ENTER to display the Administration Record Update screen.
