If the court receives a public records request for a copy of a citation, are they supposed to redact the defendant's driver's license number from the citation prior to providing the copy to the requestor?

Redaction of a driver's license number is not required unless a judge specifically orders it to be done.

Additionally, courts are not required to redact the driver's license numbers from any other documents that are filed with the court by parties in a case.  GR 31 (3) (1) (C) says that parties are not to file documents with a driver's license number on them.  But if they do file such a document with the court, GR 31 (e) (2) says the clerk is not required to redact the information.
