This answer is for historical purposes.  For the current answer, please see Answer ID: Law Table Changes for CLJs as of July 22, 2007. (Link will be available by 7/16/07.)

As of April 30, 2007, the Washington State Supreme Court amended the Infraction Rules of Courts of Limited Jurisdiction (IRLJ) 6.2 to reflect a $5 increase in the base penalties for most infractions.

The changes to the CLJ law table are outlined in the attached document: Law Table Changes April 2007. This document also itemizes a number of exceptions to the base penalty increase, because of statutory limitations.

The BARS codes changes for many laws and Cost/Fee Codes are outlined in the attached document: BARS Code Changes for Increase in Base Penalties. Courts should complete the DCXT screen for the new BARS codes.
