What is the process for entering warrants in JCS?
Superior Court Clerk:
The superior court clerk enters warrants issued in Odyssey. For information on how to issue the warrants, please see Warrants Tab topic in the manual. Only warrant statuses/codes that actually ISSUE a warrant: e.g. BW, will also appear in JCS. If any other warrant status/code is used than those listed, it will NOT be reflected as a warrant in JCS.
The superior court clerk enters warrants issued in SCOMIS. Please see the Issuance Of Warrant topic of the Special SCOMIS Instructions section of the Online Manual for codes used to place a warrant into Issued status. If any other warrant code is used than those listed, it will NOT be reflected as a warrant in JCS.
Juvenile Departments:
The juvenile departments will serve, quash, or cancel warrants in JCS by adding a disposition. To remove a warrant, use one of the following codes:
- WRS - Warrant/Pick-up Order Served
- WRC - Warrant/Pick-up Order Cancelled
- WRQ - Warrant/Pick-up Order Quashed
