What are the JCS Alert Codes?  Can you tell me more about the 'Alerts Authorizing Officials' and additional context about the 'Alerts'?

An Alert is a notation about a juvenile to department and/or detention staff that indicates specific attention or actions may be required.  Some alerts are detention episode-specific (e.g., purge condition) and are automatically ended when the juvenile is released from detention.  Other alerts remain indefinitely on the juvenile's record (e.g., allergies).

The Alert Authorizing Official is the person who is the source of the alert information.  This may or may not be the person who entered the alert information on the juvenile's record.

The Juvenile and Corrections System (JCS) Alert Codes are located in the JCS Code Manual.
