How do appellate courts change an oral argument (OA) Calendar panel judge in ACORDS?
The judge panel is established on the Oral Argument (OA) Calendar screen and ACORDS then automatically sends panel information to the Manage Opinion screen. Any change to the panel must also be done on the OA Calendar screen, so the change gets sent to the Manage Opinion screen.
If a judge name is changed on the Manage Opinion screen in error, the result is that the opinion event becomes corrupt and loses its details. The opinion event would then need to be deleted and re-entered once the correct procedure is followed for changing a panel judge on the OA Calendar screen.
