When trying to void checks, I get a "dump & die" screen. What causes this and what should I do?
This is a known problem with the time synchronization of the two Judicial Information System (JIS) mainframe computers maintained by the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). Technically, the Accounts Payable (AP) "row" has a timestamp that is earlier than the corresponding closing Journal Voucher (JVO), resulting in a void action which causes a "dump & die" error.
When this happens, please eService Center, select Topic "2. Accounting," and request a "Database Change to fix the dump & die error." When your request is received by AOC Customer Support, it will be forwarded to AOC's Maintenance unit to be fixed.
