What is the passport fee?
Under an agreement with the U. S. State Department Passport Office, some county clerk's offices and courts of limited jurisdiction are accepting passport applications and collecting a service fee in addition to the current passport fee.
Effective April 2, 2018, the U.S. Department of State changed the passport execution fee from $25 to $35 for passport and passport card applications.
County clerks should refer to the JRS/JIS Online Code Manual, JRS Transaction Codes (Tran Code 1591, Fee, Passport).
Courts of limited jurisdiction should refer to the JIS Online Code Manual, Cost Fee Codes section (Code FEP, Passport Fee).
