In ACORDS, after initiating an appellate court case, the case status is supposed to be set automatically to PENDING. Sometimes the case status stays at INCOMPLETE, as if the case initiation process was not completed. How can I change the case status to PENDING?

Add another status event (do not use PENDING), such as SCREENED or READY, and click Update. Then select the added status event and delete it. The case status should turn to the correct status of PENDING. If the status stays at incomplete, contact the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts Customer Services and select Topics: Case Management or call (800) 442-2169, Option 3, and ask for a data fix by an ACORDS programmer.
