Would you please clarify the penalty for RCW 46.61.605.1 Improper Backing? On the NCC screen the penalty does not change if the "Y" is noted on the screen when it is an accident. Is this violation not subject to the accident penalty?
The additional penalty for an accident is imposed when the infraction is a violation of the Rules of the Road. Improper Backing is not one of the violations listed as a Rules of the Road violation under Court Rule IRLJ 6.2 Monetary Penalty Schedule for Infractions.
