I am interested in working as an interpreter/translator for the Washington Courts. Could you advise me where to apply?
The Certified Court Interpreter's page on the Washington Courts Web site contains information about the Washington State Certified Court Interpreter's program. The page includes answers to commonly-asked questions, exam dates, and other valuable information.
Certification is currently offered in seven languages:
- Cantonese (Chinese)
- Cambodian
- Korean
- Laotian
- Russian
- Spanish
- Vietnamese.
Once a person becomes certified as a Washington State court interpreter, his/her name is added to the list of Washington State certified interpreters, which can be searched by county, language, or interpreter's name from the Certified Court Interpreter's page.
