What does RCW mean?

RCW stands for the Revised Code of Washington. The RCW is the compilation of all permanent laws now in force in Washington State.  It is a collection of Session Laws (enacted by the Legislature and signed by the Governor or enacted via the initiative process), and arranged by topic. The RCW includes amendments and laws repealed.  It does not include temporary laws such as appropriations acts. The RCW is published by the Statute Law Committee and is the official version of the code. The RCWs are located on the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) page of the Washington State Legislature's Web site.
